Well, okay, criticism of the industry for daring to think it can get around the ingenious vidders who will always find a way around whatever they throw at us, sure. But beyond that, it's just a fun history of and tribute to vidders and vidding.

I think you may be seeing it through a filter of outside experience - I know the kind of feeling you're talking about is "out there" in vid fandom, but I really can't see any kind of a criticism of anyone in the fannish community in this vid, let alone a harsh one.

It's just a really fun, loving and fond treatment.
