It was only meant to be mildly teasing in parts, in that each new technology we embrace is replete with it's own drawbacks, imperfections, weirdnesses, and horror stories. (For example. My computer started literally smoking this week...) And each of them seems strange and alien for a while. (I suspect the next generation of vidders will be making vids... on their ipods.) But all of them our *ours* to screw with and be screwed over by, and fight over and have fun with, rather than some evil overlord's to take away...

It was more meant to show a love for everything that's been accomplished. Each level was impossible and you sometimes walked off a cliff.

There's always something you forget to put into a post, isn't there? In this case, it's the fact that we actually wanted to progress the fandoms being shown along with the tech -- the older fandoms first, and then on to the newer ones/present day. But it was literally Mission Impossible, to find clips that matched the theme for the right day and age.
