I loved all of Walt in this last episode! I was just amazed by how much he's changed, from resentment of Johnny being there to grudgingly liking and respecting him. To now reassuring Johnny--multiple times!--that he doesn't have to help them if it's too hard or painful for him. And the hug! Totally wasn't expecting that.

I think Bruce is doing what a lot of people do when confronted with something that is freaking them out about a friend: retreating to a safe distance until they can figure out how to deal with it/make it better. He really didn't pull away until Johnny started having all the end-of-the-world visions and stalking political leaders, which is pretty freaksome. Also, personally, I think knowing that your best friend, who is psychic and has always been right about these things, is predicting what is pretty much the end of the world, is reason enough to wig out for a bit. I am hoping, though, that this is temporary, that he comes to the conclusion that he should: That Johnny needs him, and that he can help Johnny just by being there. I hope.

Rebecca, I don't know about. I don't dislike her, but she seems to be a little too nice, motherly guiding of him for my tastes. You're right, Dana was a lot more fun and interesting because there were sparks, she had her own agenda and was trying to juggle that and her urge to be with/help Johnny. Issues are always more fun when they have edges.
