Hmmmmm! This is very interesting. I've only ever vidded live action and only seen a handful of anime vids, but from the looks of this list, I vid like an anime vidder on pretty much everything except #5 (cause I'm a poor college student and I steal everything).
Thou shall not take any aspect ratio except one aspect ratio.
My last vid had varying aspect ratios, so I blacked out the top and bottom on the 3x4 clips to make them match the 9x16 clips. I had to do some shifting around so no heads would get cut off.
Thou shall make no image with subtitles.
I guess this translates to tv channel logos or that annoying divx logo you get when you render an avi.
Thou shall not let characters talk in vain.
I actually had a lot of lip synching in my last vid. It doesn't have to be exact with live action -- just fairly close. The concept is pretty simple. Adjust clip speed so the mouth opens when a word starts and closes when the word ends. I'm hard pressed to find anyone who's done this with live action aside from myself.
Thou shall keep the output acceptable
This is kind of relative. DVD quality source isn't always available, but I usually use source that's over 300mb for an hour long episode.
