A heads-up for anyone who might care -- Read or Die is airing this weekend on Cartoon Network. There's a midnight viewing on Saturday, the 23rd, and then a repeat at 3 a.m. Wicked Amp did a great vid for this OVA called "A Million Miles" that I got to see two years back at Vividcon -- it can be found online here: http://www.wicked-amp.com/videos/videos.htm
Who knows what editing liberties Cartoon Network might take with it, they're not all that trustworthy (why they even bothered to air Project Ako when they butchered every third scene/line is beyond me), but then, I can't think of all that much that would need to be edited from the show, especially given the times they're running it. (Also, I'll be interested in hearing the dubbed version, since I've previously seen the subtitled version).
But really, it's a lot of fun, for those of you who haven't seen it, who could resist a story about a heroine who is the world's biggest bookworm, who can control all paper, set in a universe where the greatest branch of spies and defense for the country is the British Royal Library?
