Although I've never particularly wanted to start my own bookstore, I realized when I was writing this that today -- it's probably just not even an option anymore. Even the bookstores I've known forever in this area have begun to close their doors. This is a real loss, because while being able to find anything you want on Amazon is nice, it's not the same as going into a store and finding things you didn't even realize you wanted to read.
