Our Vividcon Premieres vid is up now:

Vid title: Handlebars
Song artist: Flobots
Fandom: Doctor Who (2005)
Vidders: Seah and Margie (Flummery)
Vidder website: http://flummery.org
Summary: I'm the Doctor. Look me up.

Notes: Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] merryish for the all the help, and especially all the baking, without which this vid probably never would have been finished in time. (she made us say that -- but it's true anyway.)

Right-click to download: http://flummery.org/handlebars/handlebars_dw_flummery.avi

There's a streaming version up on our imeem (http://flummery.imeem.com), but it's a little stuttery in spots and we're not sure why. Hopefully we'll get it figured out and fixed soon.

Imeem went boom, so we put a streaming version up on our site, which you can watch there or here:

ETA April 17, 2012: Our streaming vids are temporarily offline while we look into a technical issue. Sorry! The download still works, and we'll get the streaming version back up as soon as we can.

I've seen this video a bunch of times, but am finally getting around to commenting. I haven't seen a bunch of vids, but I really love the way you edit in time to music--the Doctor scratching his head in time to the music, the little tiny motions to the rhythm that you put together. That just has to take an assload of work, so, kudos.

I'm also totally in love with how well you build the narrative, from the Doctor's playful joy at his own competance into the fantasy of total power that the song leads you down, which is very much also a facet of the Doctor. He's not innocent, as much as his innocence tries to tell you he is.

Anyway, I love it, and I ran around yesterday gratuitously showing it to everyone I met. *g*

(BTW: I can't get the download to work. I put the link into a window, but the vid never loads, and then if I try to just save it I get nada. In what way am I failing? I'm highly confused.

Thank you so much!

For downloading, all you should need to do is put your cursor over the link and right-click your mouse, then click "save [target/link/file] as" and pick a download location on your computer.

Pasting the URL into a new window won't really work - the avi isn't meant to stream (there will be a streaming version here soon -- I didn't realize we hadn't added the new streaming version here after imeem went down *headdesk*).

Hope that helps!
