Date: 2004-08-18 02:26 pm (UTC)I liked "Big Red Boat": Very bouncy and up. Very Joan. And I loved all the Faces of God being there.
I really, really liked "What It's Really About," though. I thought it was a perfect song for Dad, looking at him trying to balance both his worklife and family life. One of the things I noticed in the vid, and I can't remember if this is always the case in the series (though I'm thinking about it and I think that it is) was how the shots of him with the family is always in gold tones. Very warm, very comforting. And the stuff where he's being a cop, when he's in danger, are all in tones of blue. Dark and cold. It's interesting, and I really liked that contrast--especially when the colors overlap, such as shots with Kevin in the blue sweatshirt, and the firemen/rescue workers carrying the body on the stretcher dressed in the yellow. Images of the comfort and the danger all in one.
And I love JoA, but I never really thought of it as being that atmospheric, visually. But wow.
Yay! Vids! *g*
